The waiting room at JcPenney filled up with sunshine and magic. Everything was now lit up in a new spectacular way. The bench in front of me gave off a spectacular light that made the world seem beautiful. Everything that seemed magical to a six-year-old me still has the same effect to this day.
When I was six years old, I hated the idea of shopping. The very thought of looking at clothes and other appliances for over an hour did not suit well with my energetic spirit. But then time and time again, I was forced to go to the same strip malls and convenience stores to help my sister and mother look for clothes.

They had no choice but to accept the flyer or not even enter at all. My plan was brilliantly evil.
Truth be told, I think I was the reason why JcPenney had so many sales that day. Many people would come out of the store with dozens of shopping bags and a look of puzzlement on their faces. They would give their thanks to me in a monotone voice and continue on their way in an undead manner.
My work continued to progress and the increase in casualties rose. Even if the customers tried to use the other door; there would be no stopping me. I would just rush to the door they were using and then rush back into position.
In a way, I was the Knight of Jcpenney, standing guard and giving out useless coupons to all in need. Without a doubt, I would stay here in waiting room forever and protect this beautiful land. Until death do us part.
“Are you the little girl I’ve been hearing about?” a kind employee strode through the door. Her long brown hair hid her nametag, but from a glimpse I think it said ‘Linda’.
