One by one the new guards introduced themselves. One in particular caught Callie’s attention.
“My name is James. I’ve worked at a pool previous to this, so I know how to take chemicals and I am not worried about anything happening to a patron in the pool or on deck. I will only be here for a couple months due to me leaving for basic training in August for the Air Force.”
“Hi I’m Callie I’ve been a lifeguard here for five months. I am one of the head guards so if you have any problems or concerns about anything you can ask me. I am very excited to begin this summer with some new guards. This will be a new experience for some of you, others it will be just like any other day. Now let's open the pool and have some fun.”
