“Hurricane Irma is making it’s way down to Florida.” said Fox News on the television. Immediately, my mom started gathering supplies, you could see panic in her eyes. I said “Mom, Irma isn’t going to come to Florida.” She then looked at me quickly, and continued making hurricane kits. Our faces flushed with fear. Outside the window you could see everyone on the block packing their cars. The sky looked gloomy, as it was to start pouring any minute.
