Narrative Essay On Group Work

It was a hot summer afternoon. I had been working all day. Normally I would be with a crew of 4 to 5 people all the same as the day before, but today was different today i was working with a whole new crew of men I had never seen in my life. It was especially weird when the guy in a all black suit pulled up. He got out and said he was my new boss but when I had asked him what happened to the rest of the crew and my old boss he told me to be quiet and do the work I was assigned.
It wasn’t till about the next month that things truly started to get sketchy. Random trucks from companies I had never heard of started appearing more and more on the job site and they were bringing materials that had nothing to do with the project we were working on. One day I asked one of my new co-workers what these materials were for and he said he had no idea but that they were definitely out of the ordinary. I had started doing some research on my new boss and what I found was astonishing this guy had been to jail multiple times for petty theft to manslaughter and he was wanted in 4 states! What was I supposed to do with this information, turn it into the cops or keep it to

The room was very dark with one light bulb in the center of the room. I went to sit up but i was constrained to the ground by chains. I felt hopeless like a little dove locked in a cage being watched by a room full of humans. The man in the suit said you done messed up bud. I had managed to raise my neck just enough to see to the other side of the room. There was a man standing in the left corner in all black. So many thoughts rushed to my head like where am I, am I going to get to see my family again, am I still on the job Site? I went to scream for help but when I opened my mouth nothing came out and a extreme pain came to my throat. I thought for sure my life was over but little did I know what was going to happen

After the investigation, which appeared to have ended by September 2016, and after I had given my Supervisor my Fall school schedule, I began to be stalked, at work, home, and school. Mysteriously, four of the vehicles I drove to Charter were found vandalized on a daily basis on Charter property once getting out of work. Hoses were cut, fluids were changed, ball joints were loosed, wheels caved in, and the car needed to be towed. I had to carpool with James Boudreaux on Saturdays.…

According to Irving Janes (1972), groupthink occurs when a group makes an irrational decision because of group pressure fostering and the deterioration of ‘mental efficiency, reality testing, and moral judgement” (Irving, Janis, Victims of groupthink, p.9). Social influence is the effect that people have upon the beliefs or behaviors of others (Aaronson, 2004). Both groupthink and social influence theory have a factor in what we see as an ongoing reaction to the silent protest started by Colin Kaepernick in August 2016. In recent news on October 1, 2017 during a game between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers, about 30 of the 49ers players took a knee during the national anthem.…

Throughout the year, as a class we have been given many different challenges in either the form of an essay, speech, or group presentation. The final assignment given to us was a group project presentation. From growing up in an age filled with technology, I have come to love projects that revolve around making some form of a PowerPoint presentation. This PowerPoint though, was both difficult and interesting for the reasons of being assigned group members not of my own choosing, learning to listen to others ideas which can help me to learn something new, and using former knowledge while working together to create a clean, in depth, and well prepared presentation. With working in groups of students whom I have known since I was young but…
