I asked my dad one day if we could go fishing because I was super bored, he said lets go.

About an hour later we finally went down to the big river. There was huge Bass jumping outta the water. I got my pole out of the truck took the hook off the eyes of the pole, and grabbed a big night crawler. It smelled horrible as it wiggled in my hand. I put it on the hook and grabbed a sinker so that the fish could see it underwater.

After that I finally was ready to cast out so I flipped the bell and cast. I started to reel my line very slow to make the fish look like my bait was alive. I finally felt a bite after reeling in and out slow. Something started to nibble on the big nightcrawler so I let it, take it and then I jerked back the pole and hooked it. I started to reel and I could tell it was big, it put up a fight reeling it in.

Then finally I started to see the fish and, it was huge I couldn’t believe how big it was. I pulled it out of the water and laid the pole on the muddy ground and took it off the hook. I asked dad to get the scale to weight it and I stuck the hook of the weightier in its mouth and let go of the fish and sure enough it was 6 pounds. I grabbed it and put it in the water so it didn’t die and asked dad if he would take my picture. He ran to truck

I was so happy I had caught a fish that big, I wanted to keep fishing so we stayed for a little bit longer. I put on another slimy wiggly nightcrawler and cast back out into the big river, and waited for a while until finally I felt a little tug and the fish started to run away with the bait so I pulled back and hooked it. I started to reel and reel then I started to see the fish and it was about 4 pounds but still was a nice small mouth. I pulled it out of the water and as I went to pull it off the hook it had a rough texture. I finally got the hook out of its scratchy mouth and threw it back because I didn’t want it to

The boy was haunted by the fact that that bass would have been the biggest fish he had ever caught up to that point in his life. In addition to being the biggest fish he had ever seen, the bass was also the strongest fish the boy had ever gotten on his line, since it pulled and tugged it’s way through the water all the way to the venue. Because the narrator chose to keep his date with Sheila going, he lost his chance to brag about catching this fish. I, too, can relate to making a bad decision. My bad choice wasn’t letting go of a fish, however, it was choosing to cheat on a spelling test that I didn’t study for in 2nd grade.…

and I felt something hit the lure, I waited a couple minutes and something hit the lure again, I set the hook and the rod bent and the fish fought back. I was reeling and reeling and I finally saw it and grabbed it, it was a walleye, I had to watch out for the teeth because they are sharp and they hurt if they bite you. It kind of surprised me because people have told me that there is only flathead catfish back there. I think it was at least a 3 pound walleye, I caught a couple more walleye then put them on the stinger I had with me.…
