You know when you think about dangerous things in life and how rare it is to experience it? The event that i am going to share is important because you should protect yourself and anyone around you and just when you think something can’t possibly happen, it will.
To begin this story, it was the 2nd week of freshman year of Firestone High School . Kiara (my friend) and i had just left school, and were heading to her house to chill. We were walking down the sidewalk and everything seemed fine. As we walked we were talking about sports and how she liked softball until we stumbled across a little girl, crying at the corner of our street. I said to kiara, “ Do you see that or am i trippin’?”she replied, “ yeah and where did she come from? There isn’t any elementary schools out here out here”. We approached the little girl in calm manner so that she didn’t think we were going to hurt her. Kiara walks up and says,” what’s wrong?, are you ok?”. The girl continues to cry. “Maybe she’s scared” i said. Kiara then said “it’s ok, where is your mom and dad and where did you come from?”, the little girl replied,” i -i don’t know, i got off the bus but this- this is not my house”. As soon as she

I arrived at Rancho Buena Vista High School at 12:00 pm. I waited in a line for about 20 minutes until I reached to the security section. Before we could enter Rancho Buena Vista’s Stadium, we had to be checked for weapons or anything dangerous. I took everything from my pockets and placed them on the table where the securities took a look. Then I was patted down and walked through a metal detector.…

Shining Library Book Me and classmates were told that we had to do something nice for the school. It wasn’t just our grade, it was the whole middle school who had to something. There were tons of jobs to be done just inside the building. When it was nice out, some of the 8th graders would go out and do the things outside, while the rest of us stayed inside. My job was organizing the bookshelf in the library.…

A large part of my high school career has been dedicated to the cheerleading program here at Wilson High School. This is the aspect of my life that has developed my leadership skills such as communication, patience, innovation, flexibility, planning and much more. My time at Barnegat High School has helped me to become who I am today and will most defiantly impact what I will do in the future. The teachers and my peers have all been an influence on my life and during the four years that I spent at the school, I have done some things for the school and the community as a way to thank them for giving me the opportunities that they have. It was they who pushed me to keep trying and striding to succeed and without them, I would not have accomplished what I have today. One of the things that I am most proud of doing is helping to bring new clubs and activities to Barnegat High School. This year, with the help of other students and advisors, a new club made it into the ranks of the diverse sea of clubs and groups that already exist.…

“You must get an education. You must go to school, and you must learn to protect yourself. And you must learn to protect yourself with the pen, and not the gun”(Josephine Baker). Growing up in Southwest Philadelphia and Upper Darby, I have seen a lot of my peers turn their backs on education due to the hardships of their urban school environment. Due to the poor education system and their circumstances, they decided to head towards street life such as selling drugs and gun violence.…

Even though everyone who goes to Shakopee High School knows about this situation, they do not know how much it has significantly affected my life. My life changed last year in so many ways. In some ways this has given me more opportunities, but in most cases this event has negatively changed everything around me. Worst of all it has made me lose many friends, given me a bad reputation, and has made everyone think that I am someone that I am not. People I had never met did not like me, discriminated against me in some situations; but on the other hand, it has showed me who my real friends are because they continued to persevere by my side and stuck with me through all of the tough times.…

I am Elizabeth Taylor, I am a senior at Mission Springs High School. I am seventeen years of age. I am the oldest of seven grandchildren and three siblings, so you can imagine how much pressure is on me to be the “perfect role model” for the younger generations. I had a pretty good life, if I could say so myself. Besides my Dad deciding to take himself out of my life simply because my family wasn’t enough for him might have been a bit of a downer, but other then that life is good.…

I walked with stiff pie-encrusted legs. I was on my way to work from McKinley high school. The scene of the crime, where the miniature cherry pie took flight from Jessica Rabanne's lunch tray (and landed on my favorite jeans) to even further deepen my hatred for that lip-gloss-wearing beast. Now, I wouldn’t be so salty if she had apologized instead of complaining about the fact that her pie came into contact with my thigh. As tragic as it was, I didn’t have time to go home and change after school.…

A couple years ago, there was a girl at my school that nobody liked, and I am going to call her Katie in my story. She was ostracized by all of my peers, and she was not included in conversations, events outside of school, or at lunch tables. One day, during school, we were sitting in the classroom at indoor recess. A group of my friends were huddled together, whispering and giggling. I listened in on the conversation to find that they were talking about Katie.…
