I was born into a family where money seems to be the one thing that we are missing to make our dream real. My mom came to this country for a better life. She has traveled a long way in order to see her children have a better life and not have to struggle like she did. When she settled down I was in her stomach while she works in places that accepted people with no documentation to this country. My mother has struggled with money since the moment she was born. She comes from a family that grows up on the farm and she was raised there. She remembers that when she got her first check she was scared. She felt that a check will mean she might have to be deported since she was in a country where she felt she can be deported at any time. She wanted …show more content…
Others don't because they're tired of going to school and it's too much money. I work at HomeTown Buffet as a Line Server is not my dream job by the long shot. I can’t deal with the 8-hour shift where I don't feel that the minimum is much helping me with important expensive. Since I wanted to earn my own money and also have work experience I try to look for a job that will accept someone that does not have much experience in the workforce. I wanted to start to work since I was 16 because I wanted to save up for college so that way I would not feel overwhelming. From there I know that I still wanted to go to college. A career in technology is the field that interests me the same with interior design. I enjoy technology and being creative. Problem is that I don't know what exactly I want to do create or develop towards the technology. I just know that I want to have a computer in front of me and that I can enjoy my time doing my job and fall in love with the job. I also don't want to feel like I'm doing work because I know I'll be miserable knowing I'm doing something because of money and not for the love of something. That is why I know I want to do technology because I love how everything in a device is still a mystery to me because I don't know everything about technology. I would like to get an education towards technology so that way I can see if I'll enjoy hardware or software. I want an education an education that would let me pay for my own expense without depending on mom and dad or anyone for the matter. That I'll be able to pay for myself and for anything that I might cost. I know college is not cheap but everyone says that it's all worth it at the end. I do hope so because I hear a lot of case where students graduate but still work at a place that gains them the minimum of $10.50 the hour. In that rate how can a young adult pay for his or her belongs and pay

Clarence, I agree with you completely that older generations follow the motto “a hard day’s work for an honest day’s pay”. I work with a few older employees and they work 5x harder than some of the younger employees I work with. I also received a 35 on my EI test which I was not surprised of either. I have a very high work ethic and have very little time for play in my job. I do need to learn to put myself in others shoes; sometimes this is very hard for me to do.…

I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…

It was actually much more advanced than any job I ever thought of getting.…

The best, most positive supervisor experience I had was the first job after graduating with my BSW. I was an AmeriCorps member at a family resource center that served a small community. She provided the best feedback on groups I was running and also asked for my feedback on things she was doing.…
