I discovered DSP before I am came to Babson as I was looking for a community to call mine. Of course I also was mesmerized by the amazing accomplishments the alumni have done. After coming to Info Session 1, my outlook changed. I could imagine myself being a brother with these highly driven and fun people. When making friends, I don’t look for academics before. A lot of the times we all prioritize academics differently. I wanted a community where I could be surrounded by driven individuals who are also fun like me. In other words, I desired a one stop place where I could easily ask my brothers for accounting help or even some brunch.

As I am a freshman, I am open to joining lots of clubs. I have looked into consulting club and investment

Stella was the reason I felt much more confident and comfortable about the rush process. Her story about her being the oldest and having a tough time adjusting to Babson is very close to what I feel now. Being the oldest child, there is a lot of pressure to make sure I am “perfect”. She stressed on the fact that it is important to know that it is okay to have to try again. Due to this, I began my rushing prowess with a positive outlook: if I don’t get in this time, it was a great experience and I can always try again (even though I REALLY want to get in this time because I already feel like I am part of the family). Parth is the other brother that gives me life! I met Parth before I knew he was in DSP and he immediately struck me as someone I would love to get to know. He has a similar attitude about life to me. I realized this when I saw him at a rush event in casual attire when everyone else was serious. He brings the party wherever he goes. Parth enforces my idgaf attitude and that if I am happy with what I am doing then it doesn’t matter. He showed me that being original sometimes is all you need, rather than trying to forcefully fit into some group. Thank you to both of these brothers for making my rush process

Finally I called him and told him he was just going to have to deal with it or meet up with some friends that he has in Queens. That was clearly the hardest part of my week.…

I want to know what is it like to be in a more diverse community, comparing to my current school of only 800 students. Due to the size, the population forms many small pockets of social groups, which can be isolating. Although this community offers a wide array of different ideas and personalities, they are still very similar at their core. This leads me into why UW-M’s extracurricular activities interest me as well. Skimming through the massive catalog of clubs, I noticed that there were more academic-centered clubs than I expected- it seemed exciting that students could make connections with people both within and outside of their major while still learning about subjects that go with their academic interests.…

The more I read about LD the more I considered myself to had LD as a child and was never recognized for it. In Elementary School I always just got by with Cs but from what I can remember there was a lot of things I could not comprehend and ended up not doing. This leads me to believe that a lot of teachers just slid me through without a second look, wouldn’t even surprise me if the teachers knew I wasn’t capable of moving forward passed me anyways. If I were ever to work in a class room I would be sure to be 100% attentive and make sure I know the signs and symptoms of LD.…

    Failure Narrative Essay

Personal Narrative Why is failure the best teacher? I am going to answer this question using personal stories as examples. Failure is the best teacher because no matter what it changes a person, if someone fails and gives up it shows them that they didn’t really want to succeed badly in the first place, if someone fails and uses their failures to then succeed than they learned what it took to make their endeavour go right. We learn from failure by deciding how we are going to react to it and depending on that reaction, it can be a large change, or a small change.…
