Narrative Essay On Cowboys

I am a diehard Cowboys fan, they have been my team for as long as I can remember. To me the Cowboys are an American icon, they are America's Team. I have successfully converted my wife to the blue side and even my three year old daughter yells out, "Cowboys" anytime she sees a football game on television regardless of who the team is. When we got our new quarterback this season I knew we would have a great season ahead, but not everyone agreed.
The season started out as usual Romo as quarterback. This has been our quarterback for ten good years and although we only made it to playoffs once this was still my team and Romo my quarterback. The season then took a turn within the first couple of preseason when Romo was sacked and sustained a back injury. Friends quickly began to say, "there goes their season, how about your Cowboys now". I was taunted by many, but little did any of us know that our rookie quarterback Prescott was a force not be reckoned with.
Everyone doubted he could even come close to filling Romo's shoes, he was just a rookie and wet behind the ears. Prescott was not even in the first round draft, he was number 135, but the Cowboys picked him up as a backup not knowing they would need him so soon, after all he was their second string backup. Now with both Romo

My boys had to get there this year, they were playing like champs. In the game leading up to the Division Playoffs the Cowboys rested their starters. We already were leading in the division and in the playoffs, so no need to risk injury to any starters. Romo came in and played in the game against Eagles with a pass to Williams that led to a touchdown. This could have been his final play for the Cowboys, that is still up in the air however. With no starters and the third string quarterback playing against the Eagles Cowboys lost leaving them with a a 13-3 season going into the Divisional

As rumors surrounding Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant starting to heat up, many pundits believes that the Cowboys are better off without him. Having rookie QB Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott doing a great job of leading the team to 5-1 record, Cowboys game plan seems to be working without Bryant and Tony Romo on the field. Earlier reports have said that Cowboys coach Jason Garrett and offensive coordinator Scott Linehan have prepared a game plan by using the strength of their offensive line to compensate the loss of Bryant and Romo due to injury. And it looks like Prescott and Elliott are following the strategy leading them to five straight victories after their opening loss to the New York Giants.…

2017 is an intriguing year for the Redskins for a multitude of reasons. Kirk Cousins now is in the midst of a long-term contract negotiation, his top two wide receivers left via free agency, the Redskins defense is coming off a historically bad season, the new defensive coordinator Greg Manusky along with the team’s new additions is having positive reviews so far this off-season, and the front office is fresh out of a messy divorce with their former general manager Scot McCloughan and made an in-house replacement with Doug Williams under a different title. All this to say, what happens in 2017 is of paramount importance, and can shape the near future of the organization. There are a few Redskins who are worth noting that will be a key cog in determining the outcome of not only the season, but how their future in the nation’s capital.…

Ezekiel Elliott, a natural athlete born in an athletic family, but now could be considered the best running back in the NFL, leading the NFL in most yards per carry after contact. Thanks to his offensive line, Zeke is just pure talent on the football field, if you ask any running back, fullback, quarterback, or anybody behind the offensive line before a play, they would tell you that the play would not ever succeed without those lineman protecting them. Zeke admits that that statement is true, and you could put anybody behind the cowboys offensive line, and they will do good. But Zeke is a different story, his offensive line definitely did their job and made sure that they opened the hole that should be opened for them, but what happens after…

“Not having the starting quarterback this a big deal because they're not going to function well and running the ball but Sam Bradford is showing that he is decent but not the best but if Teddy Bridgewater was in the game he would be able to run and find the Gap store in the Lions defense.” George said. “The Vikings injuries affect the roster because Adrian Peterson and Teddy Bridgewater are their best players and they are injured.” George said. “The injuries are a big effect if they don't have their starting running back in end up starting linebacker in but they could probably get past as they find the gaps through the defensive line and linebacker core.”…

The Kansas City Chiefs have put themselves on the proverbial ropes the first 4 weeks of the 2015 NFL season, losing 3 out of those first 4 contests, two in heartbreaking fashion. It seemed a welcome reprieve would be the dysfunctional franchise from the Windy City, otherwise known as the “Monsters of the Midway”. The 2015 version of the Chicago Bears resembled nothing even close to your grandpa’s Midway Monsters. The Bears were weak at the wide receiver position, and quarterback Jay Cutler had missed half of the games already this year due to injury. The defense was suspect and the offense even more so.…

Without Dez Bryant, the Dallas Cowboys' offense has been crippled In hopes to improve an offense that’s struggling, the Dallas Cowboys, who’ve been snake bitten with injuries, have made a change at quarterback. Without quarterback Tony Romo, their four-time Pro Bowler and all-time franchise leading passer, the Cowboys were forced to roll with the arm of backup Brandon Weeden, after Romo fractured his left clavicle against the Eagles in Week 2. In three starts, Weeden completed 71 of 98 attempts, completing 72.4 percent of his passes. That looks sexy on paper, but with Weeden under center, Dallas’ passing game didn’t generate plays beyond intermediate distances to stretch opposing defenses for big plays.…

The line will consist of Gerald McCoy and Vita Vea mainly at the DT position, with Unrein and Allen likely as reserves, but those two, just might end up playing a bigger role than anyone thinks!…

Ohio State The Buckeyes saw their College Football Playoff hopes disappear when Michigan State Spartans kicker Michael Geiger hit a 41-yard field goal as time expired in the Horseshoe on Nov. 21.
