When we arrived at the boys and girls club one of the children being dropped off recognized me and ran up to say hello. We went inside and I remembered why I loved spending time at the boys and girls club so much, I was able to see the kids I had begun to miss while I was spending my time studying and practicing. They were so excited to see me and it made me happy to known that to them I wasn’t just some chaperone there to watch them. That was when I decided that some think was going to have to change, I love being at the boys and girls club too much to just stop going. I confronted my parents and my coach and told them that I had decided to quit volleyball so I could spend more time helping at the boys and girls club. They were surprised and a little upset but I felt it was the best thing to do I was happier at the boys and girls club than I ever had been playing volleyball or any time just hanging around school. I still believe that I made the right decision because coming in to the boys and girls club every day and seeing all the kids happy to see me made me feel as though I was doing something good and meaningful not just for myself but for others
