Today was the day that I didn’t expect to happen. I walked out the church cafeteria after eating pizza. It was greasy, oily, and excellent. I felt like I was in paradise. Plop! I was struck by something brown. It was a football. I was hit by a car. I got up quickly as I could because I was not about to le anyone see. I looked around making sure no one saw what happened, but all I could see was my little cousin playing handball and my older cousins playing rugby. A sigh of relief came out of my mouth, but realization struck me like a lightning bolt. Who the heck hit me? I ran to the field so no one would seem me. “Man, whoever threw that is probably laughing at me right now.” I thought. After that incident, I just tried …show more content…
I walked as slow as I could getting to my uncle and I stretched out my legs.Tit! Tit! Tit! You could hear the sound of my legs cracking. As I neared the group, there was a certain fragrance flying threw the air. It smelled a lot like perfume. Looking around to find the source of the perfume, my eyes stopped on my grown girly cousins. It was the first play of the game, I was pumped. Paht! I intercepted the ball and ran it to the touchdown. Sweat was raining down my face. It felt like millions of drops of rain was falling over me. I really needed to catch my breath, but on the inside I was happy because football was my favorite thing to play. Just the texture of the football made me …show more content…
After the next play, something unexpected happened. My older cousin, Simon, threw the football to my little cousin, Franklin. My brother and I were excited to get him because we were having a competition to see who will get the most flags. Running towards my cousin with our fastest speeds, we were careless. It was as if there was no one else except for me, my brother, and my cousin. The itchy texture of the grass tickled my feet, the wind that carried the smell of sweat ran through my face. Getting closer and closer to my cousin. 30 yards, 20 yards, 10 yards, 5 yards, 1 yard BOOOOM! Confusion hit me. What happened right now? I didn’t feel anything, I just thought that the temperature went down a little, but you could hear my sister yelling,”Blood, blood!” It was at that moment that I realized that there was this red
