Birthday Accident

Today was the day that I didn’t expect to happen. I walked out the church cafeteria after eating pizza. It was greasy, oily, and excellent. I felt like I was in paradise. Plop! I was struck by something brown. It was a football. I was hit by a car. I got up quickly as I could because I was not about to le anyone see. I looked around making sure no one saw what happened, but all I could see was my little cousin playing handball and my older cousins playing rugby. A sigh of relief came out of my mouth, but realization struck me like a lightning bolt. Who the heck hit me? I ran to the field so no one would seem me. “Man, whoever threw that is probably laughing at me right now.” I thought. After that incident, I just tried

I walked as slow as I could getting to my uncle and I stretched out my legs.Tit! Tit! Tit! You could hear the sound of my legs cracking. As I neared the group, there was a certain fragrance flying threw the air. It smelled a lot like perfume. Looking around to find the source of the perfume, my eyes stopped on my grown girly cousins. They all had makeup on them. I wondered,”Why does every girl put on makeup? They kind of look like clowns.” Before I could ask them why they put on perfume, I was interrupted by an exhausted voice. It was my uncle’s. He had black bags under his eyes and you would think that he has been through a lot. Blah Blah Blah is the only thing you could hear from him. His words came through one ear and out of the other. The only word I heard was football. Tackle came through my mind but that thought was ruined because he said flag football. It was the first play of the game, I was pumped. Paht! I intercepted the ball and ran it to the touchdown. Sweat was raining down my face. It felt like millions of drops of rain was falling over me. I really needed to catch my breath, but on the inside I was happy because football was my favorite thing to play. Just the texture of the football made me …show more content…
After the next play, something unexpected happened. My older cousin, Simon, threw the football to my little cousin, Franklin. My brother and I were excited to get him because we were having a competition to see who will get the most flags. Running towards my cousin with our fastest speeds, we were careless. It was as if there was no one else except for me, my brother, and my cousin. The itchy texture of the grass tickled my feet, the wind that carried the smell of sweat ran through my face. Getting closer and closer to my cousin. 30 yards, 20 yards, 10 yards, 5 yards, 1 yard BOOOOM! Confusion hit me. What happened right now? I didn’t feel anything, I just thought that the temperature went down a little, but you could hear my sister yelling,”Blood, blood!” It was at that moment that I realized that there was this red

Standing there on the street, I stood staring up to a hundred giant football players walking by me. As I held the rope that the football players walked through, I stretched out my hand to try and high five as many of them as I could. One… two…three…twenty-seven…twenty-eight…twenty-nine! Each one of them pranced by while the drum line marched them on to the beat of the fight song. Standing there looking up at the enormous football players, I avidly wondered what it would be like to walk through this crowd to go play at Highlander Stadium.…

In sixth grade, I wanted nothing more than to make Lusher’s middle school flag football team. I had dreamed of being on the team from the very first day I heard about it; all of my friends were trying out with me; and we had grand plans for a year of non-contact, semi-athletic exertion ahead of us. Having been anxiously awaiting the lunch period when the team roster would be revealed, I was thusly dismayed, disappointed, and disheartened when my name was not one of the eighteen posted on the PE office door. My mother, in all her eternal wisdom, saw a way out of the pit of despair I had sunk into: Lusher was starting an Academic Games team, and she thought I might enjoy playing. I was more than somewhat hesitant; she was more than somewhat…
