Narrative Essay On Arcadia

Improved Essays
Once upon a time, there was a small, seaside town, along the coast of the vast Pacific Ocean, called Arcadia, and in that small seaside town, there lived a girl named Parker Garcia, who, with the help of some friends and maybe just a little magic, started a revolution that brought love and acceptance to the small town. The small town of Arcadia over looked the pacific ocean from a glorious cliff side that was carved with one of the only freeways in the town. Almost every morning the citizens of Arcadia were awoken at an early hour by the sound of a motor bike ripping along the freeway. Now most people didn’t mind the noise so much as they minded the rider. Parker Garcia was the town’s resident rebel and disliked by a fair few in Arcadia, especially …show more content…
Yup.” Parker chuckled lightly at her own joke.
“Fine.” Ray said coming to a standstill. “I guess you don’t want to know about how she’s my new neighbor or anything.”
Parker stopped dead in her tracks. “Wait what? “
Ray began faking hurt, clutching at is heart. “Oh no. Go on leave me. Find the info elsewhere.”
Parker lightly punched him in the arm. “Stop being such a drama queen and fill me in.”
“Okay! Fine, but only because you’re my best friend and because you’re buying lunch today.”
“Wait what?” Ray gave Parker and ‘you-know-the-way-to-my-heart-is -food’ look. “Oh, fine, but you get tomorrow.”
Ray started walking back in Parkers original direction. As Parker fell in to step beside him he began to spill his info. “Okay! So her name is Cleo Roberts. Her family just moved in yesterday. They have a dog, too. Super cute and oh no-“Ray suddenly stopped and Parker who was looking down, listening intently, was startled. She looked up and immediately spotted what Ray was alerted by.
Bri Wilson and her cronies, the schools resident mean girls was talking to Cleo. It was clear by the eyes cast downward and red face that they were making fun of her and bothering

Parker was beat to the punch when Cleo asked her one day out of the blue. “Hey parks?”
Parker looked up from her text book and gave a tired smile. “Yeah?”
Cleo fidgeted with her hands a bit before speaking. “Do you maybe wanna go to TOLO with me?”
Cleo took Parkers look of surprise as a bad sign. “I mean you’re one of my best friends and I think it would be really awesome to go together.”
A blush overtook Cleo’s face but Parker just smiled. “Sure. I’d love to go.”
Relief washed over Cleo’s face. “Oh awesome. We can meet there because I have a small family thing before. I’m so excited to go! It’ll be my first dance here in Arcadia and I get to spend it with you.”
Parker smiled and picked up her pencil. “Me too. Cleo. Now, let’s get back to this trig.”
Parker played it cool at the time but the dance was all she could think about for the next week until it the night came. This was the first school dance Parker had been to and she wanted to look good. She put on her best black jeans, a black button down, with white suspenders and a white bow tie, with her hair hanging loosely around her shoulders. This was the first time people at school were going to see her like this and she was

Every small teasing comment, touch of Karmen, smile, exchange of endearments or whisper and wink between them, just caused Duke's anticipation to increase. Whilst the teasing and talking was fun, and added to his appreciation of the woman, it also increased his desire to do something about it, and prove himself to be a man of his word, and to discover if Karmen was a woman of hers. Not that there was much doubt in his mind, from the first view of her up on stage the previous night, she'd exuded sex appeal, and had a sex appeal, and he had been unable to get her out of his mind. Apart from the few hours he'd spent sleeping, there wasn't once that five minutes passed that he hadn't thought about what he'd love to be doing with, or to, Karmen. The natural eroticism he felt from her, and the not-as-innocent-as-she-looked arua was obviously not sensed by Daisy, as Duane per usual,…
