Narrative Essay On Andy

Andy was twenty years old, short and stocky with dark hair and eyes. He always wore cowboy boots and blue jeans with a button down shirt. Just after his high school graduation; he joined the Navy, as a result of hauling moonshine. Serving time with a criminal record or join the military was the Judge’s order, who by the way, he sold moonshine to on several occasions. When visiting a girlfriend two years earlier, I met him, this boy with his head stuck underneath the hood of a white Ford F150 pick-up truck looked up from beneath the hood a little bit greasy and I knew we were going to be friends. A slow Kentucky drawl in his voice for some odd reason placed dragon flies in my stomach. He smiled sweetly big and spoke, “Hey, nice to meet youn, …show more content…
Never guessing I was a mere twelve; he leaned over to kiss me, I was happy that it was my choice to allow it. We saw each other every chance we got and yes; after several weeks, we made love. Making love with him the first time was sweet, because I could feel emotion in his touch and mine. Of course he had no way of knowing I wasn’t a virgin and hadn’t been for over a year, he was actually afraid of hurting me. Horrified over my life; I wasn’t about to tell him the awful truth. As time passed, I found my emotions drawn to him and wanted to spend every second of my life wrapped within his arms. After a while, I braved bringing him home to meet my family. Mortified of friends learning of my secret shame; I choose to have few and never brought them to my home. I invited Andy home reasoning that I wanted him with me all the time, I guess, somehow I thought he could keep me safe. Mom wasn’t happy at all with him because of his age, eighteen at the time, but dad went out of his way to make him comfortable and they began to become close friends. This made me nervous but I knew not to interfere with it if I wanted Andy in my life. Coaxing and manipulating, Dad worked through all Mom’s objections to Andy and soon she came around

Mrs. Leonard turned away many children, Jenny and Jason come to thought, but yet changed her license through child protective services to keep Andy as a permanent foster child (Bridge, 2008, pp. 162, 340, 435). Andy continued to struggle with the heartache his life has brought him and even turns to intentional physical pain to ease the burden. He cut his foot on a rock by the Leonard’s pool and noted, “A Band-Aid would have been useless, and asking for one would have meant surrendering the wound, its creation, and its pain”, “the single source of pain that now returned, to the exclusion of every other” (Bridge, 2008, pp.…

Think for a moment about someone with whom you are particularly friendly with and discuss what you like about them and how the relationship got started. We first met when we were freshmen in highschool, I was a new student that year and didn’t know anyone. I met this person from the group of friends I fell into on the first day, we all become close and still talk everyday. But what I like about this certain person from my friend group, is that we play off each other very well, we always have comebacks for each and we pretty much just bicker all the time. The bickering is the main part of our relationship, but it’s not in a mean way it’s fun and lighthearted, were pretty much just messing with each other.…
