9-11-2001, my mother wakes up to a warm summer day and heads to her car to drop my siblings off, but my mother is unaware of the insanity that is happening 20 miles away from her. 9/11 is one of the horrendous days in American history, where 2,966 people were killed. My mother was just dropping my sister and brother of at their preschool and when she headed home she turned on the radio, not knowing the heart breaking news she was going to hear. She listens to the radio as she drove through the sunny streets of westchester. When she was first heard about the crash, she thought that it was a little helicopter that crashed because that happened all the time, then she heard that it was an jetliner. In 2001 many people were not ready to suspect the worst in every situation as we do today.
