16 November 2017 My First Day Being A Dance Assistant. On January 4 2017, it was a cold slushy day with Some snow on the ground. It was like if you get a big whiff of winter that it kinda gets thrown at you. It was my very first day being a dance assistant I have been so excited to be a brand new dance assistant. The class I did was 4:30 pm to 5:30pm. My mom , sister, and I usually get there an hour and a half before other people get there. So it will be like 3:00 to 4:30 to 5:30. My mom knew that I wanted to be more involved with the Linden Dance Academy studio because I always like going there to see the owner because we are such great friends Miss Jasmine

My mother said said ’’ let's tiptoe to the right’’ and so everybody gets on their tip toes and goes to the right.’’stop, point your beautiful toe…. Monsterfoot...flamingo’’ my mother said. ‘’let's tiptoe to the left’’ ‘’stop. Point your beautiful toe … monster foot...flamingo.’’ my mom said ‘’Let's sashay to the left… point your beautiful toe… monster foot...flamingo…’’ my mom said’’let's sashay to the right...stop...point your beautiful toe...monster foot...flamingo…’’. ‘’Let's make a small circle...big circle… small circle… big circle...sit down and put your feet into a butterfly’’ my mom introduces me to all of the little ones and they after that they were climbing on me.everybody was talking about what their feet might smell like. ‘’1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8…...pyew’’ everybody said. some little ones said yummy. And so my mom said let's get into the lines and there were 6 in one line and 7 in the other lines .Once we did everything I was kind of in the background just seeing what they were going to do. My mother taught them how to line up and say ‘’Hands of your lips, and smiles on you lips’’ so everytime we say that they would always say ‘’Smiles on your lips’’ it was so cute. Once class was over I had to wait until they were all gone and so I was getting ready to go because my dad was going to pick me up at 5:30pm. My mother told me to hand out sticker books. Sticker book are shaped like a book and they have there name big so they can see if it is there, each week they get to stickers one for Ballet and tap sio each week they would get to sticker but if they were bad in one part of the dance they would get that taken

“ Every day that summer we went to the pine beside the stream of Old Woman Swamp, and I put him on his feet at least a hundred times each afternoon. Occasionally I too became discouraged because it didn’t seem as if he was trying, and I would say, “Doodle, don’t you want to learn to walk?” He’d nod his head, and I’d say, “Well if you don’t keep trying, you’ll never learn…” Finally one day. After many weeks of practicing, he stood alone for a few seconds” (Hurst).…

The health career I choose was an athletic trainer. The reason I choose this career is because I play sports and I would love to when i'm older be either playing a sport or teaching people how to play a sport or do something that has to do with a sport and if being an athletic trainer is the right thing for me I would love to be one. The typical responsibilities of a athletic trainer is to, Provide 1st aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning. For over ten years my average day consisted of four main activities: school, homework, gymnastics, and sleep. While school breaks or holidays may have upset three of the four, competitive gymnastics was always a constant. Three hours a day five days a week with no off season left no room for apathy. During my years as a gymnast, I learned the lessons I am sure every athlete is taught— dedication, time management, and determination. However, gymnastics taught me two lessons that other athletes fail to learn thoroughly.…

Hi Ms. Pierce, Hope you had a wonderful break and a nice day, The word I would use to describe my break is deciphering because I got a break from dance and school. For example, I was able to sleep to try to avenge the early wakings during school days and early dance practices. In addition to that, I had nothing to be concerned about. Having a break from both school and dance gave me time to think about myself and what I wanted for my future; besides, I was able to unwind. The time I had was crucial to me because sometimes in the middle of all the activities in the year I have no time to think.…

Wednesday after school I observed our school athletic trainer for approximately an hour. During the hour he was not working much because winter sport season were ending so he helped any athletes who had injury that needed to be observed. While I was there, I saw a dancer get her big toe taped because she had turf toe, a hyperextension of the Hallicus. Before practice, two girl basketball players got their ankles taped because they recently rolled or sprained them. That day in sports medicine we were just taught how to tape ankles…

As stated before in our first lecture, dance is a living and fleeting art form. I believe that dance is a living art form because it is a three-dimensional picture to art. What I mean by this is that, art is normally seen on walls or as sculptures, but dance is an amazing opportunity to view art while in movement. If you are anything like me, when I look at a painting of two people or many, I always wonder what it would be like to see them actually dancing, singing, or even laughing. By watching dance, it is my living art form.…

I stood at the end of the line and threw a quick glance over to see what the others were doing. I was shaking like a leaf, from excitement or nerves I do not know. The cafeteria’s floor was cold beneath my feet and the wind was whistling outside the glass doors. A woman in a white outfit, that looked like pajamas, with a black belt around her waist came over to me and showed me what we were doing. After that first day, I begged my mum to let me join the martial arts school.…

It is my philosophy that hard work will always pay off sooner or later. Whether it be physical or mental, the reward is correspondent to the amount of effort put in. I have been dancing for as long as I can remember. Of course, I don’t actually remember the first time I performed on stage, but my mom has pictures of me in a pink leotard and a grass hula skirt for proof. The first time I remember dancing was when I was around five years old, in tap class, learning a move called the coffee grinder. I remember looking in the mirrors as I swung my leg around and jaggedly jumped over it multiple times before I could get the move down. I felt super proud of myself when I was the first one in my class to master the move, well the best a five year old can master a move.…
