Words cannot explain how exciting my last 15 years have been. I am only 35 years old, and I have already seen more in my life than any elder in my hometown of Venice in Italy. I must describe some of these travels, but first, I must describe the Great Khan himself. He lives in two palaces, one in Peking during the Winter months, and one in Beijing during the summer months. He has four main wives, many concubines, and 50 sons, all of which have important roles in the empire’s government. Now I will describe some of the places I saw: In Tibet, I discovered a people group that I find very captivating. They dress in all leather, and use salt as currency! Some of them are even said to be sorcerers. In Karandan, I found men, not women, who cared for babies. It was crazy to see how different societies do things differently than the rest of the world. One of my more riveting experiences in my travels was when I held the power of the government in the town of Yan-Gui, on behalf on the Great Khan, of course. I had never in my life had the experience of holding such a position of power. I had been a traveler my whole life, always independent and in charge of one person; myself.
