He was Helping Jezzie. Jezzie was the woman at the school who was the head of security. She was the one who originally discovered that Megan was missing, and she had been helping Dr. Cross throughout the entire investigation. I was completely shocked when
I found out that she was one of the people who wanted to kidnap and kill Megan. I have a theory that she had the intention of finding Megan in the beginning of the case, but then turned to the other side when she found out that the Senator was giving the kidnaper ten million dollars worth of diamonds in exchange for the safety and return of their daughter. Jezzie even ended up killing Mr. Devine, who she was also apparently “in love with”. That is obviously why she killed him right?
