It consisted of resting my foot on the bonnet and lots of pain. After the longest car ride in eternity we finally made it to the hospital. I hopped out of the car and we started making our way to the E.D. The doctor saw us almost immediately, and we were hustled into a small room. I then was told to lie down on the bed so he could get a proper look at my foot. After five minutes of incredibly painful prodding and poking he declared that I would need stitches. I looked over to my leader in alarm. I was in a hospital in the middle of nowhere being told I need stiches. I was completely freaking. The doctor left the room to get all the equipment needed to insert the stitches. When he came back in, he was holding the scariest looking needle I’ve ever seen. Whilst he was walking over to me, he told me that he needed to stick this needle into my wound. So he counted to three and jabbed me with it. I nearly screamed, it was the most agonizing pain I had ever felt. However, within a few minutes my foot became numb, which was a relief. The doctor poked my foot in various places, testing if the drug had worked properly and asked if I could feel anything, I couldn’t. So he turned around and got out a curved small needle as well as the thread which would become the stitch.
It was a strange sensation, although it didn’t hurt I could still feel something. I became extremely curious. So I sat up on the bed and watched as he sewed my foot back together.
