Senior Prom Narrative

Superior Essays
Summer of 2011 was one of the most memorable summers of my entire life. First of all it was the year I graduated high school. Nonetheless as a senior in high school all you want is for it to be over. My last few months as a senior were tough for me. Some how I realize I did not want to interact with anyone. My anti social ways led me to not attend my senior prom. I regret! As the summer took off, as a normal newly high school graduate you’ll expect me to be out enjoying my summer with friends getting wasted, I mean that usually what high school graduates do, right? I was to busy dealing with a difficult situation.

My sister decided to go to the hospital to see if there was any way they could induce the labor but the doctors send her back home and told her to wait it out a little longer. So she did. A few hours later she started having pains. We decided to head back out to the hospital and the doctor decided to keep her because she stared dilating. Luckily my sister allowed my mom and I in the delivery room, and of course the baby’s dad. We arrived at the hospital at around four in the afternoon. They were hoping she would dilate more in the next few hours. As soon as I head a machine beep ill wait for the nurses reasoned in suspense hoping it wasn’t anything bad. They suggested for my sister to lay on the opposite side to see if that would help his heart rate. Luckily it did! We waited another few hours to see if she would dilate. She dilated a little but not as the nurses hoped. At about six in the morning, they decide to break her water, Hoping that would speed up the delivery process. Slowly but surely she was dilating. At around twelve thirty the doctor came into the room and informed us that it was time to push. I was excited because I knew in a few moments ill be able to meet my nephew. I watched the whole thing. I was standing beside her and right across from me was the baby’s dad, my mom was
