When we were younger the Halls would come over to our house or we would go to theirs. The time was filled with tons of fun and excitement, while our parents talked about boring adult talk. This past summer our church youth group went on a trip to New York and Ohio. We took a fifteen passenger van and there were fifteen of us, so the van was packed full. I have never gotten annoyed with Rachel, infact she’s about the only one that can calm me down when I’m irritated with someone, or when I’m ranting and I won’t get annoyed with her. This was useful on the trip, even though it was fun, because when I get tired, my patients run low and every little thing rubs me the wrong way. For the most part though, the trip was a blast, and I would go again in a heartbeat if I could. During the trip, I could tell that rachel and I got closer; we had many deep conversations. Rachel and I have gotten to the point that because we’re so close, we can communicate with just our looks and very little words, and we tell each other pretty much everything when we get the chance to talk. Every time we have deep conversations we learn even more about the other and that pulls us closer; so imagine thirteen years of talking, deep conversations, and getting to know the each other, I’d say Rachel knows me pretty darn well and I know her just as much.
Rachel and I have been best friends since kindergarten, and over the years I have come to realize that there is nothing better in the world than a true friendship and having someone there for for me at all times, having someone to count on.
