Narrative Essay About The Keeper

Decent Essays
The Keeper The door closed behind me before I could realize what was happening. It was rather warm in this particular area of the house. I began to observe the room I was in. On every door was a keypad for him to type in the code. He was evil, twisted, and rude. In his mind this was where I was meant to be. It was all a game where I had to get out before time was up. I tried to collect my thoughts, but the only thing I could think of was death. The thought that scared me the most. My family will be looking for me, but little do they know our new neighbor put me in this trap. Wondering how many others he has put in this maze I sprang to my feet to look out the window, but I only saw darkness. I knew it couldn’t be night. This was part of the …show more content…
It hit me in the face like I had been hit with a snowball. I was so anxious to get out of that house. Every minute my anxiety consumed me. It drove me insane. There had to be a way out I thought to myself. Suddenly over the loud speaker my keeper spoke a riddle “Before you is a window bringing in a cool breeze, you will find a companion, but do it with ease.” My heart stopped , due to the fact that the speaker was overwhelming. I rushed to the window, and saw someone tied up in the yard. But the phrase do it with ease stuck in my mind like a tack in a cork board. I began to draw attention to myself by grabbing pots and clinking them together, which made ear piercing sounds. The person looked up and began to struggle attempting to get out of the rope. They were searching for anything within reach to cut them loose of the keeper’s rope. Discovering a broken bottle they grabbed it and cut free from the rope, and ran inside before whatever beast the keeper had in the yard could get them. I flung the window shut and locked it. It was a woman around my age who was a neighbor ass well. She began to tell me how she had been there for over 6 years. The reason she was tied up was because she found the keeper but failed to …show more content…
The actual walls were cold and wet. I came to the conclusion that we were underground. A loud bang came from the floor beneath us. It sounded as if a cannon had went off. I ran to my friend asking her what that noise could have been. Then I remembered she had told me previously that he sets off traps in the maze and this was one of them. She thoroughly explained the instructions to find the keeper, but time was running out there was no time to continue listening to her. She smashed the broken bottle against the keypad of the tunnel door. One thousand bats flew into the room as soon as the tunnel unlocked. The woman shoved me into the tunnel that lead to the keeper 's room. She then handed me the broken bottle and a lighter that she conveniently carried in her sock. The door slammed behind me upon my arrival. Collecting my thoughts and taking a deep breathe I calmed myself down, and prepared myself for what lie ahead. I cautiously flicked on the lighter, and made my way into the tunnel. As I got closer to the keeper’s room I formed a plan of action to kill him. What torture he has put me through I thought he had deserved to rot in this maze along with the beasts he had waiting for my friend. I ran, all the adrenaline rushed

It was dark but not pitch black, there was sunlight peeking through the window, which was covered with wood that you can tell the person who placed it there was too short to reach the top part of the window. The sun had spotlighted the door as though it was destiny calling. I didn't know where I was or how I got there which drove my nerves crazy. My mouth was covered with what seemed to be 100 layers of duct tape which left my mouth tingling with the unpleasant taste. Both my hands were tied together with rope very securely behind an old wooden chair, my blood in both my hands felt as though it was trapped which caused me to feel the sensation of fireworks in them.…

The sky is blue, morning blue, when the sun is just rising, at about 6 o’clock. The chilly Autumn morning made me feel safe as I peered out the dew lined window. Leaves blew across the street, yet not too many because it's early in the season. Its nice to look out, seeing the smoke come out of the chimneys from the warm homes where everyone is asleep this sunday morning. Then out of the corner of my eye, amongst the beautiful fall scenery and warm houses was a guy, creeping out the back mill door.…
