It hit me in the face like I had been hit with a snowball. I was so anxious to get out of that house. Every minute my anxiety consumed me. It drove me insane. There had to be a way out I thought to myself. Suddenly over the loud speaker my keeper spoke a riddle “Before you is a window bringing in a cool breeze, you will find a companion, but do it with ease.” My heart stopped , due to the fact that the speaker was overwhelming. I rushed to the window, and saw someone tied up in the yard. But the phrase do it with ease stuck in my mind like a tack in a cork board. I began to draw attention to myself by grabbing pots and clinking them together, which made ear piercing sounds. The person looked up and began to struggle attempting to get out of the rope. They were searching for anything within reach to cut them loose of the keeper’s rope. Discovering a broken bottle they grabbed it and cut free from the rope, and ran inside before whatever beast the keeper had in the yard could get them. I flung the window shut and locked it. It was a woman around my age who was a neighbor ass well. She began to tell me how she had been there for over 6 years. The actual walls were cold and wet. I came to the conclusion that we were underground. A loud bang came from the floor beneath us. It sounded as if a cannon had went off. I ran to my friend asking her what that noise could have been. Then I remembered she had told me previously that he sets off traps in the maze and this was one of them. She thoroughly explained the instructions to find the keeper, but time was running out there was no time to continue listening to her. She smashed the broken bottle against the keypad of the tunnel door. One thousand bats flew into the room as soon as the tunnel unlocked. The woman shoved me into the tunnel that lead to the keeper 's room. She then handed me the broken bottle and a lighter that she conveniently carried in her sock. The door slammed behind me upon my arrival. Collecting my thoughts and taking a deep breathe I calmed myself down, and prepared myself for what lie ahead. I cautiously flicked on the lighter, and made my way into the tunnel. As I got closer to the keeper’s room I formed a plan of action to kill him. What torture he has put me through I thought he had deserved to rot in this maze along with the beasts he had waiting for my friend. I ran, all the adrenaline rushed
