Narrative Essay About Thanksgiving Places

The best things in life are the people we love the places we’ve been and the memories we’ve made along the way (Anonymous). Two months ago my family and I decided to go to Ohio for Thanksgiving. It was my first Thanksgiving in America and one of the best Thanksgivings I’ve ever seen. We stayed at my uncle’s house who lives in Ohio. It was one of my best memories when I went to Ohio for Thanksgiving First, I’ve spent a lot of time with my family and friends in Ohio. We played a lot of outdoor games such as volleyball, basketball, and musical chairs. After playing outdoor games we all had lunch together. My aunt made her special lasagna on that occasion. My regular diet is very less but on that day I couldn’t stop myself from eating more and more of it. Then, we all get-together and started playing “Judgment”. It is a card game …show more content…
My uncle told me that this place is hundred years old and has the second longest roller coaster in the USA called Top Thriller Dragster. He also told me that this place takes more than a day to enjoy all the rides but if we go early we could enjoy most of the rides. When we reached there, the place was less crowded because of the winter season. We were quite lucky that on the day we visited there it was not snowing or raining. I was so happy thinking about enjoying all the rides two or three times in a row without any crowd disturbing me. My parents were a little bit scared about going on the roller coasters, but I somehow managed to get them on the ride. I told them if they will not enjoy the ride with me, I will also not enjoy the ride and will see other people enjoying the roller coaster. That’s how I managed to get them on the roller coaster with me. My family and I enjoyed all the roller coasters twice and had a lot of fun together. Then, we all had dinner together at a nice Italian restaurant where we talked about the fun we had at the great amusement

The first person I asked was Dezmyn Abbring, a student at Kankakee Valley, about how he would usually spend his Thanksgiving. Some things he said that were unique were that he goe down to Tennessee to visit relatives. Another would be that he usually watches sports while he eats Thanksgiving dinner with his family. When the Pilgrims and the Indians had their Thanksgiving, they didn’t…

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

Every year my parents and I drive nine hours to have Thanksgiving dinner in Kentucky with my family. No trip to Kentucky is complete without my dad’s famous dressing recipe. The recipe is one of several that has been passed down from my grandmother. While the food is being prepared, we turn on the Macy’s Day Parade for some entertainment. My dad enjoys joking about memories of my great Uncle Phil, may he rest in peace.…

Thanksgiving dinner in my family is a big deal all our family and friends gather around to celebrate. There is always plenty of food, drinks, music and laughter. My family is loud, crazy and not afraid to voice their opinions so there is always drama at every dinner or family event. I chose to write on this because I never payed attention to detail or interactions at these dinners like why the women cook? Or why it is important that we are all together.…

So this meant that my brother and sister got to sit in the very front of the roller coaster car, and my dad and I were right behind them. When we got in, it seemed like no time had passed from when we got in the line, to when we were seated in the ride getting ready for a moment that I would never forget. We waited for about 30 seconds for the workers to make sure everybody was strapped in safely. When the carts then started down this tiny slope to a straight away over the water. I was a mix of scared and excited for the ride.…

This source discusses the history of roller coasters, the progression of them through the years as well as analyzes the aspects that come along with the rides. One specific aspect are the people that get in line to ride these coasters. The authors argue that these people can be grouped into 3 categories: people that love roller coasters, people that like them and then people that cannot stomach them. The authors go on to say that roller coasters have the capability to provide the riders with “an experience that nature never intended humans to have.” This really explains what roller coaster’s jobs are besides amusement— to thrill.…

The most exciting part of one’s childhood is when you’re with your family in some place you’ll remember the most. It was 11, March 2010, when my family and I rode a car to Orlando, Florida, where we visited all seven parks of Disneyland. Even though I was not familiar with all of the Disney characters, I was thrilled to visit Disneyland because it is a childhood must for every kid. The best park amongst the seven, in my opinion, was Aquatica, the water theme park, because I love to enjoy all the thrill from the water rides. Another park that I profoundly remember that I liked was Disney’s Hollywood Studios because of the Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster.…
