I attempted skiing with a group of experts when I was only a novice. Suddenly, the ground beneath me passed faster and faster. Before I knew it, the earth fell from my skis thrusting me into a perpetual free fall. As the wintry secretion covered my tired, snow-battered face, I felt foolish and insignificant as my friends descended the hill. After a long day in seventh grade, my friends and I ventured to a picnic lawn concert. However, the shrimp sauce was missing to complete our perfect shrimp cocktail. As my friends accepted defeat, I forged a mission to ask a neighboring group for some sauce. With the plan in motion, I inspired my teammates to support one another towards this sweet goal. My unrelenting ambition took charge to lead the troops. Overwhelmed with victory and honor, we finally brought some sauce back to the blanket. Applying my lesson learned from carelessly skiing down the mountain, I made a thoughtful decision to leave my comfort zone and undertake AP U.S. history. I then asked other students if they would be interested in a study group, with my confidence built up from the time I asked out my crush. Recalling my leadership position commanding the sauce expedition, I created a rotating study system with jobs for each member. Although my confidence invades most aspects of my life, I always remember to observe others’ situations, looking out for lessons to be learned. Using all the tools at my disposal, I excelled in the class and made great friends at the same
