Beep! Beep! Beep! the oven timer chimed as my mom and I quickly leaped from the table. In our family it is a tradition that when the warm summer sun fades away and winter comes we huddle up in blankets then take fresh baked cookies out of the oven . It was the winter of 2009 and we were baking tons of delicious cookies on christmas eve . I was sitting on a tall stool in the kitchen to help my sister shape the cookie dough into all sorts of patterns and sizes . When my mom had just taken one toasty batch out of the oven I felt myself yawn as I laid down to take a nap . When I woke up to my amazement all of the cookies were done ! My jaw dropped !
