Honestly I laugh about it now because at the time we were like 14 about to turn 15, we never got to meet back then but we did talk over the phone, so much in fact that whenever I got a phone call from him I would stop whatever I was doing just to talk. He called ne a few days later and pored his heart out to me and I caved. I got dropped off at his house and the rest leads up to today.

When I think about the boy who I was growing up, the young adult I am today, and the man I plan to be in the forthcoming years, one aspect of my life stands out to me far more radiantly than anything else: my culture, my skin, my identity as a Bangladeshi-American.
