This is about my four door, four wheel drive, 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the short time we’ve had together so far. When I got this monster back in the beginning of August it was to satisfy an itch that I had gotten from my father, he told me that nothing was as much fun as a Jeep, and that he has always wanted one. Then on one hot, humid Sunday afternoon I found the Jeep that was perfect for me, and luckily was in my very small budget. My father was more than enthused to come with me to look at it, and it wasn’t very far away from where we lived. After a twenty minute drive that seemed longer than the whole Lord of the Rings movies combined we arrived. Now the place was right in the middle of “Little Mexico” in Omaha, right outside of an auto mechanic shop that …show more content…
Then it was painted two tone, the top bright rose red to distinguish it from the forest greens that the Jeep wanted to drive though, than with the bottom half blacked out as if hide all the mud that would be hanging off like bats in dank cave. From the front of the Jeep it looked like a smug face saying, “Please, just try and get me stuck. I dare

“Tuck and roll” that’s what they say when jumping off or out of a moving vehicle but that didn’t work for me. I was about five years old, I was visiting my grandparents that I hadn’t seen in a while. I was riding with my dad on a four wheeler and I was having fun until I felt the four wheeler jump, and then I turned around to see my dad jumping off. That was when I got scared. I tried to drive it, but with my family, chasing and yelling for me to jump off it was hard to do.…

Until I see a massive muddy area on the road ahead and knowing my luck it just happens to go right onto a bridge that goes over a creek. Throughout my entire life I was raised around vehicles and tools. In fact my earliest memories of being in the presence of vehicles is when I would sprinting from my mother's Tan ford pinto up to the Billingsley tire shop to give my father his lunch for the day. As i got older I also recall my Dad leaving a tool box full of snap-on tools completely at my disposal to play with and naturally just as any kid I wanted to be just like my father. When I was about 7 my father acquired a used 1998 Gmc Sierra that had already been modified.…

One problem with my car is that it looks terrible. The once-shiny paint is now dull and bleached from road salt, there are patches of rust around the wheel wells and fenders. There is a dent in the passenger door that someone left while I was grocery shopping last year, and ever since another student hit my car in the school parking lot, the trunk latch has not worked, and I have had to tie it down with a cord. Furthermore, the interior of my car is no better than the exterior. The carpet is stained from years of carrying around two kids and a dog, and the upholstery is torn in several places.…
