My High School Experience

When I was younger, I lived with my family in Bangladesh. I went to the same school since I was 3 years old. Everyone in my class become more of a family member than a friend. I can truly say I had a perfect life. Everything changed when my mom decided to get remarried, and my parents decided to move to America. I was not that excited to move to America. In 2010 we said goodbye to my families and friends in Bangladesh and took a 24-hour plane ride to America. As I arrived in America, everyone was completely different from people in Bangladesh. For instance, the culture, language and the people where different. I never felt so out of place as I felt at that moment. After a month of being in America, my parents registered me to go to middle school. A memorable experience that truly impacted …show more content…
Hight school was even bigger than middle school. There are a lot more people. In my freshman year of high school, I only took harder classes. It was really stressful, but everyone in my class was willing to help one another. Even though classes where harder and faster pace from my ESOL class, I did not mind because I did not have to see their faces every day. I began to enjoy coming to school. At the end of my freshman year, I made a list on things that I liked and the things that I want to change. I realized I needed balance of classes. Taking six AP classes was hard even for the people that were native to this country. I desired to take art and piano classes. Music and drawing were some of my favorite things to do when I was in Bangladesh. The school encouraged students to be different. It is something that is collaborated in my high school. I start to get involved in my school by joining mane extracurricular activity. It was great place to meet new people. Not just only that I was able to learn leadership scales.
