Even though the barn was always quiet we had issues when people were there. We only had few people there who were nice to us and the rest were mean and ugly with what they said and what they did. They seemed to judge us on whatever we did and it made me feel uncomfortable and awkward that my family even decided to go there in the first place.
It was the day we were moving barns and we had chose to groom Izzy before the owner of the new barn and her friend came to pick Izzy up. We already had put all of our stuff in our tack trunk, grooming tote and extra bags so that when they got here we were ready to get out of there.

My dad tried to load her in the trailer first but she wasn’t too confident so my mom tried and right before she put her back legs in the trailer she gave her farewell, and pooped right on the white rock driveway. We thought about cleaning it up but didn’t feel too bad about leaving it there since they never provided us with pitchforks or buckets to clean it. Right after she had done that the crabby barn manager, Sally, walked out of her old fading white house that was sat on the property, and said “are you guys

Comeaux argues that barns provide information and insight about the culture and any changes that occur over time. Barns as a piece of material culture also provide information on origin and disbursement of cultural groups and their characteristics. In his article, The Cajun Barn, he argues that the southern central Louisiana Cajun barns went through four evolutionary events that altered and adapted to the changes in time and the economy of the area. Comeaux traces the developments over time in a region called Bayou Teche. He provides maps and floor plans to illustrate and help explain the design features and intended purposes.…
