Improved Essays
I believe that love is real and that it is hard to find.
I believe that love is real whether it comes from a family member, a pet, a spouse, or a best friend. In this case, real love comes from my boyfriend. It all started at a high school cheer competition. As I am sitting in awards, I look around and I see a boy in the crowd sitting with Lewiston’s fan section. Whispering in my best friend’s ear, I said “Look at that cute boy in Lewiston’s fan section! He's so hot! Although, Im pretty sure he’s dating someone on the Lewiston cheer team”. Little did I know he was talking about me with his friend Joe and he did not have a girlfriend. Awards are over, but now it is picture time. Now to this day, we’ve been dating for a year and four months. I love him so much and I know I've said I love to other boys but this I love you is real and the other “I love you’s” showed me that those weren't not real. We got into a big fight in November and we took a break from each other. We didn't text for a week or two. I struggled and struggled, I just wanted to talk to him, hang out with him, and be with him. It was a disaster. I acted like the world was collapsing. I cried everyday. I missed him so much, I felt so lost without him. We finally talked for a couple weeks on and off. After its been a little less than a month we talked in person. We worked things out and decided we can stop taking a break. This makes me believe that love is real because no matter what we have gone through this past year and four months and no matter how big of an argument we got in we always have ventured back into each others lives. Real love is when two people can go through hell and back together and somehow always make it work. And I believe that Jeromey showed me what real love is because when we went through hell and back he and I never gave up as much as we may have wanted to and that love is hard to

We stayed together until the end of the school year. I had found out that he was still messing with the girl that he broke up with me for a few months back. I remember being on the phone with him just crying one day and after he hung the phone up in my face, I put my head down on the table by the phone and began to cry even harder. My mom came in the room where I was at, and what she gave to me, I will never forget. She helped give me my power back.…

Before I knew it, I was having my last performance. The awards were going to be announced, at the end of the concert and I thought that one of the other girls were going to receive the award. This was my perception because I thought that one of the other seniors had deserved more than I had. I thought that there had to have been another member of the color guard who had worked their butts of more than I did and deserved to be recognized for it. As I was contemplating on who would deserve the award, my attention was drawn to the performance area.…

What is the definition of love? What would motivate a man to stand between his wife and the barrel of a gun or keep a young woman beside the hospital bed of her comatose fiancé? Love, is a word of endless meaning, a subject of complex debate, and an idea of perfect imperfection; a story without an ending. The Holy Bible’s 1 Corinthians 13:13 hastened to say, “now abides faith, hope, [and] love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (KJV) I believe love to not only be an idea, but a singular entity of self-sacrificial and unconditional love.…

Growing up, I was always surrounded by family and friends at all times. There was nothing to worry about but continue to be happy and live my life as it was going. As I began growing up, I got to understand more why people were put in your life and why you experienced different moments with different people. From this, I was starting to realize what life really is about. Being in a two-year relationship, then breaking up unpredictably taught me how to become independent of my own self, take care of myself, and have self-love before I want to take care of others and have a love for others.…
