Narrative Essay About Friendship

As young children, our minds are innocent. We don’t know what friendship means nor do we value it. We are curious about how everything works in the world by seeing everything as a challenge. Through these challenges comes consequences, and from our consequences, we learn what the right and wrong thing to do is. However, there was one time I had done something I am not proud of. My curiosity got the best of me and I almost lost my best friend.
Seven years ago when I was about eight years old, I had a neighbor who I was best friends with, even though we were completely different. Our relationship wasn’t always the best, We loved summer, because were are able to be together everyday from breakfast until dinner. We would play with dolls, watch TV, play outside, and much more. One afternoon, Lara and I were two hippos laying under the sun. We were so bored. We wanted to try something different and creative. We searched through my house to find something to do. We settled on a Crayola washable non-toxic paint set. We quickly grabbed some paper and filled up a cup with water and then walked to my backyard to create a masterpiece.
After we finished our paintings and put them in the freezer (so that they would dry faster), we started cleaning up. I was about to pour out the colorful water into the grass, but then I wanted to know what this tastes like. I, obviously wasn’t going to drink it; so, I let my friend try it.
“Hey,” I said to my friend “guess what this tastes like.”

All three of us had the same class and became best friends quickly, after that I made some friends and I had the best school year of my life. The 6th grader that sat next to me was Destiny who, after 6th grade, went to Somerset but to this day we are still best friends. The girl who came up to us was Yesenia, who, after 6th grade, stayed being my best friend, all throughout middle school and was the only true friend I had all those years, she is still the best friend that I will ever have. I started that school year terrified, sad, and angry with my mom for making me move away from my friends, I’m fortuitous that I move or I wouldn't have met my two best friends that I consider family.…

From the very time ‘Teacher’ , which we were surprised later in life that this was neither her first nor last name, paired us with another small person, to interact, colour, talk and play, even to share our treasured and magical play dough. Though I must admit, those were the rough days.…
