With heat radiating from under the stiff and most uncomfortable seats we couldn’t help but spread out away from each other so we all could have space. With the mass amount of empty seats we all spread our bodies over the two seats, covering the pathway as if anyone was going to get up or move around. Silence was throughout the bus, everyone had headphones in probably listening to the greatest hits on Pandora or whatever they prefer. Finally what seem to feel like hours going up and down hills and going around corners and constantly jolting forward when the bus driver would take the corners to fast or wasn’t prepared for what was ahead of him, we arrive at the school. Judging as we walk into the school it was filled with younger kids running around chasing each other with their faces red and sweat starting to form on their foreheads. The heat feels like it’s getting worse and we are all dead tired. The third game we still are sweating like crazy and exhausted, with bright red faces and empty water bottles we fall into a lost again. Knowing we have another game common up we have to push harder than we did in the first. The seniors know this could be their last game but I know if I was a senior I wouldn’t want this to be my last game. Coach Frank wouldn’t let us give up, saying things to lift up our spirts. “Push harder than you ever had. Yes I understand it’s hot in here but we still have this game and another so let’s go out there and show them that we didn’t drive down here for them to win”. “We know we can do this, just stop thinking about it and go out and play the game we all love.
