I never in my whole life thought my parents would let me fly by myself. We were in the car driving to the airport, which is two hours away from my house and that is a pain when you have two twin seven year old brothers Johnny and Jose screaming in both of your ears. I was going to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit my aunt. My dad has to stay and keep guard on my mom because she has brain cancer and my brothers are “too little to travel” not that I want them to go anyway, man that would be a pain. “Man that’s a Monster plane” my dad said, and Johnny climbed over me to see which hurt my legs like crazy! We were arriving at the airport and honestly, I was scared I have never traveled anywhere without my parents I have never been to any overnight …show more content…
My Dad, Johnny, and Jose already left, so I am all alone with my blue tag around my neck waiting. I don't know how or when I fell asleep, but I woke up to the copilot shaking my shoulder. He told me if I needed anything just to ask the nice flight attendant Doreen Welsh, I guess I was the only teen who was flying by myself. So we start taking off and the little boy right beside me is playing with his plastic toy cars. Right from the minute we got in the air that it was very bumpy I already felt …show more content…

I acted like I wasn't scared, and was talking about how I didn't care about the size of the roller coasters.…

Time and money is the reason why California should consider abolishing the death penalty. California spends about four million dollars each year on experienced defense lawyers, to ensure that accused murders do not get executed for a crime they did not do. Maganini is saying that taxpayers would save millions of dollars each year if capital cases did not exist. The Plane Ride When I was nine my family started a move from the tranquil suburbs of San Jose, California to the desert city of Windhoek, Namibia, located in southern Africa. My parents were taking myself, along with my younger sister and brother, around the globe because they felt a calling from God to be missionaries. All of our possessions were sold off, including my much beloved toys, until everything we had could fit into eight large suitcases. These suitcases are what we carried to the airport as we prepared for our journey. I felt no small amount of apprehension and excitement in what lay ahead of me in the new country, but an event I would experience in the coming flight would forever change and shape my perspective of how I see the…
