One night I was at fencing practice at about 8:30 p.m when my mom came to pick me up. My coach David came over to mom and said, "I think Jared is doing great in practice and I think it would be a great experience for Jared to go to Washington D.C for a fencing tournament called the Capital Clash." I heard great things about the Capital Clash from older fencing friends. They said it was in a big fancy hotel called the Gaylord Hotel with a connected convention center. Then my mom paused and said "Yes". Then my mom blathered and I stopped listening. I was so excited I was going to my first travel tournament. That night, I went home and my mom told me all the details about the tournament when I was eating stuffed shells. My mom and dad were so …show more content…
Then I took a moment when I was brushing my teeth to think about if I got last place, I'd say to myself it was my first tournament and not everybody will get everything on their first try. That would fall under my favorite quote by Michael Jordan, "I fail over and over again, and that is why I succeed." Then I went down for breakfast. I had a very filling breakfast so I would not be hungry on the plane. It was very good then as my grandma, mom, and me packed up the car to the airport. My dad drove us there even though he was not going to D.C. Because he had to watch my sisters and my sisters could not go because they would have to miss another day of school. I arrived at the airport about an hour before departure. I went to baggage check they said I had to go to oversized baggage because my fencing bag is humongous. I indeed did that and my mom pleaded about how it has to get there or I couldn't fence. I was like "Why don't we bring it on the plane?" My mom said "That T.S.A considered it a weapon." So we payed extra because it would have to going into oversized luggage. We went through security fairly quickly. Then we went on the train. I don't really like trains cause I am scared the door will close on me. I went on the train quickly and got off quickly. Ï went to gate C-21. I grabbed a turkey sandwich from Subway. Then I showed the Delta agents my boarding pass. I carefully hopped …show more content…
I went in first to get the window I call it my lucky seat for some apparent reason. Then once all the passengers were load the pilot said the flight time is a 1 hour 45 minutes. And then he said the temperature in D.C. was 15 degrees. We were off up in the sky flying high. I put on my red Beats and listened to music. Then I decided to watch a television show called Blackish I was laughing too much so she told me a friendly shuuush.I couldn't stop laughing and then I saw the D.C. skyline. The Blackish episode went off. Boom as the rubber tires touch the ground I smiled at my mom and my grandma and said I will win the fencing tournament. They smiled as the plane reduced its speed. We arrived at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia. At gate 8.

Once of the interesting aspects of fencing a home on a corner lot is the additional fencing restrictions that come with it. While you will need to confirm this with your particular council, many councils in Australia place a restriction on the height of front fences on a corner lot as a way to make sure motorists have an unobstructed view when driving around the corner. Picket fences suit these fencing restrictions as they provide a barrier to your property without obstructing motorist's views, but are they the perfect choice for your new fencing project?
