Reflective Essay On Reading Walls

Drama Explication was intense and challenging. Reading Walls was fun, interesting but very confusing. There were many times where I read the play and was absolutely lost. The way it was arranged was very difficult to understand. From the beginning of the play there wasn’t a clear point of what was happening or how it made sense, it took a lot of time reading over the play and I also had to look at all the discussions and interpretations of my classmates about the play to have a better understanding.
It took time and a lot of thinking to put together my thesis for this essay. I had many things in mind but when I had a thesis and thought about what I was going to write, I got stuck. I read the play several times and when it was time to begin writing, I needed the help of Professor Vinson to spark the fire so I could begin writing. Once Professor Vinson helped me understand how I could come up with a good Thesis, I had a good understanding of how my essay was going to go and how it was going to come together. The way I got thought in high school was wrong so it has been difficult for me to have a good conclusion and finish off on a good note. Overall I put a lot of effort into Drama Explication, I know that the strategies I used in this essay will apply to more essays in the future, and I will have a good understanding of how to use a play to prove my thesis. Even though Drama explication was difficult, now that I’m done with it, I am prepared to write essays that require me to analyze a play, come up with a thesis and be able to prove my thesis with the primary
