Narrative Essay About Christmas Break

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once. This break consisted of me and my family going to Indy to shop and celebrate a birthday and going to a Notre Dame girls basketball game. I was very excited and looked forward to doing these two things.

I have only been to Indy a couple times before for basketball, but never to just enjoy the city itself. I love the big city that Indy is and seeing all the beautiful buildings. Seeing all the beautiful lights at night it a once in a lifetime viewing. I wish I could go to Indy for fun more often because I love it that much. One thing I hate about going to Indy is the three to four hour drive there. I hate long car rides and heavy traffic. It wasn't till late afternoon till we left for the road trip. Not only were we going for fun, but also celebrating what seemed to be my second dads birthday. Later that night when we arrived we walked around the big Christmas tree in the center of the town. It was one of the biggest lit up Christmas trees I have ever seen. Seven o'clock rolled around and it was time for our dinner reservations. We ate at a fancy restaurant called Oceanaire. It consisted of all fresh seafood, which is my favorite type of food. I ordered a

Lake of the Ozarks, MO This year, me and my family went to the amazing Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. We went for six days and even though it doesn't seem like that long, we got a lot of things in. We got to swim, go boating, go out to eat, and go shopping. This will have been the sixth time we have gone with my aunt and uncle and one year, our grandparents even came with us! Lake of the Ozarks is my favorite place to go.…

Hi Ms. Pierce, Hope you had a wonderful break and a nice day, The word I would use to describe my break is deciphering because I got a break from dance and school. For example, I was able to sleep to try to avenge the early wakings during school days and early dance practices. In addition to that, I had nothing to be concerned about. Having a break from both school and dance gave me time to think about myself and what I wanted for my future; besides, I was able to unwind. The time I had was crucial to me because sometimes in the middle of all the activities in the year I have no time to think.…

I loved the trip to Atlanta, Georgia I took with my mom’s side of the family. First I went to the Atlanta mall. There, we tramped through variety stores, and we watched Vacation in a wicked movie theater. Then, we rode a shuttle to my cousin’s beautiful wedding and elegant reception. The reception was full of caterers, amazing food, a drink bar, desserts, and a lot of other amazing stuff.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

I distinctly remember getting up one Saturday morning during Christmas break and knowing from that instant that something was wrong. I had a feeling in my gut, I did not smell the cinnamon rolls baking in the oven, the TV was blaring, and my parents bed was not made. I walk out into the living room to find my mom and dad glued to CNN news channel on the TV. It had been two weeks since my brother’s last shore leave on deployment, which means it had been two weeks since we have heard from him. My funs activities that I did over Christmas break was stayed in home, cooked, and expended time with my family, but especially with my baby boy. I like to stay in home because I feel safety inside my house because for most of the holiday people get crazy and drive drunk, and I love cook that why I said for my cook is fun because you can expend a lot of hours in the kitchen preparing a differents dishes, and also I think I can show my love through a good recipe that I made. Christmas is coming up and I'm sure most of us are dreading those overcrowded shopping malls. Aside from the busy stores and pushy shoppers, my least favorite part of the holidays is my drindling wallet. With being a full time Mom to three children, I often find it complicated to stick to a budget. I'm always trying to keep Christmas being the "big" holiday for my family. I always try to make it extra special for everyone involved, and try to at least buy one or two things each that the kids have shown interest in over the year.…
