Corin 's Pov~ I feel like Nick gets to school early now just so I can 't take his spot because today I made it to school by 8:17 and again he was already here and inside the school along with what looked like the rest of the students from the practically full parking lot. Thats odd I think to myself but ignore the bad feeling I have about it as I walk into the school. As soon as I walk through the front door 's everyone 's eyes are instantly on me. "What the fuck is wrong with these kids" I mumble as I flip my hair then proceed to my locker. Once I get their a boy that I recognized from my gym class walks up to me. I think his name is Dylan maybe? "Did all that stuff really happen to you" he asks quietly. "What stuff ?"I say as I open my locker and a bunch of pappers fall out. "That stuff" I hear him mumble as I bend down to pick up the papers then realize what they are and …show more content…
The only thing that was in danger at this school because of me was your social status."I yell "And if people who have secrets are dangerous than I think it 's only fair that I tell everyone yours "I say threateningly and jump up onto one of the benches. "Attention everyone! Yes I have a journal and everything you read is true. No I don 't give two shits what any of you think of me after reading this so don 't waste your breath telling me you 're sorry about what happened to me or making fun of me because of it when the honest truth is I could care less. Now that, that 's cleared up I would like everyone to direct their attention to my good friend Anna. She is the one that came up with this whole stunt because she is so insecure and scared of people not thinking she is good enough, therefore she thought the only way to prove this once and for all was to humiliate me infront of everyone. So for her great attempt and effort let 's give her a big round of applause." I say concluding my speech and jumping down off the bench I was standing

Bruises hurt. Growing up with the uncomfortable yellow-green of an old battle wound sustained from being an adventurous kid wasn't much of a surprise. The off-shade violet of a deep one, or the angry red of an underdeveloped one, on the other hand, is a more recent discovery. Receiving them daily has become a required hindrance when being chased by your neighbor's sex crazed Pit bull. I could have gotten a car to avoid him --my town is small and my mother never thought I needed one--…

Here I am, talking to you again. There is no point in talking about Pency Prep or the fact that I was in a mental institution because you already know all that crap. They told me lots of doctor bull, and said I had to grow up or whatever. To be honest, I didn’t want to grow up. In fact it was the last thing I ever wanted to do.…

High school. People say it’s either the best or worst four years of your life. Of course they never give you the details of what makes them the worst or best years. Which means, I, a terrified 8th grader convince myself that they will be the worst four years of my life. Honestly it is easy to guess that.…

Around halfway through the year, classes became unbearable with the constant, dehumanizing schoolwork. Every assignment tugged and cracked any remaining portion of uniqueness I had left. I felt that the curriculum was intentionally designed to ready us to be a factory worked with a company ID instead of a name, just like the A.T. PERSONAS forced down our throats. Since he subjected me to infernal besiegement on a daily basis, I thought I should pull a prank on my homeroom officer. Every day he would use his superfluous title as ‘officer’ to subject us to his whims, just to inflate his pompous ego.…

I glared at that dumb Colin Schwartzman, as his dumb eyes stared at the glowing computer screen. He was playing my favorite game, Clifford the Big Red Dog. My game! I had even told my parents to wake me up early the night before just so I could beat him to the computer. Colin looked up at me from the screen and said, “What are you looking at Blocky, you’ll never get the play this game so long as I’m here.”…

Annette had casually dismissed the guard from his duty of watching over Leonard in his cell. She stated, “My parents are having dinner in the dining hall, so that way isn 't possible, but there is at the end of the corridor a back way, it leads through the sewers, and we will get out at Denna 's Diner.” Leonard looked at her and responded, “I don 't see a princess dressed the way you are dressed going very far in the sewers, don 't you think your gown will get in the way and ruined?” Annette looked at him then asked, "What do you suggest, that 's the only way I see us getting out without getting chaos started."…

Hidden in a picturesque Surfers Paradise side-street, unpaid helpers at the Gold Coast and Hinterland Historical Society work tirelessly to preserve local history. However, senior volunteers warn Gold Coast history is under threat of disappearing, advising it may never be recovered if this occurs. Former Historical Society President and fourth-generation Gold Coaster Bob Nancarrow believes ignorance poses the greatest danger, explaining many residents are unaware the Gold Coast even has a history. “When I say my family’s been here since 1880, they take about five steps back and look at me and say ‘you’re joking’,” he laughs.…

I pulled into the parking lot and hung my entrance pass from the rearview mirror. When I walked through the front doors I had my I.D card ready to be scanned. I punched in the entrance code and waved to Gwen, the secretary for the morning hours. My phone rang from inside my purse as I was walking to the elevators, so I dug through the endless amount of stuff to try and answer before it went to voicemail.…

The Choice I Made; Drugs and Children Sure there’s weed that just about everyone tries at one point or another in their lives, but in this city, at my school, just about everyone was a heavy smoker, both cigs and weed, and we were all only fifteen to eighteen years of age, this is not okay. You should know, I’m from the city of Chattanooga, yes the one with the fastest Internet in the world, a city that also has a very high violent crime rate and drug use per citizen. You can find almost anything in my city from weed to meth and everything in between, something that isn’t advertised when people talk about how amazing, beautiful, and technologically advanced the city is. Even in the middle school my senior year of high school a thirteen year old kid was expelled for bringing cocaine in.…

When entering junior high, we were constantly reminded by teachers, parents, and school administrators how different it was from elementary school. It was supposed to be the start of a transition from childhood to young adulthood, and though I discounted many of these sentiments at the time, looking back it certainly was. In an instant, it seemed, everyone started swearing and the hallways began to smell of a putrid mixture of not enough or too much cologne. For the first time we had to change before gym, no one really sure whether it was more socially acceptable to change in a bathroom stall or feign confidence by doing it out in the open. Talk swirled of who got their periods, who was wearing what bra size, and which boys needed to stop cultivating…
