Narrative Essay About School Hours

On the 2016’s summer, I was just finished my freshman year in high school. This is the only break that I am really free since first grade, with no summer homeworks and no summer classes. I supposed to be very excited for the break that I don’t have to finish ten to twenty practice tests for three main subjects each I got, Chinese, math and English.
I know I am always look kind and sometimes I would show my strong persuasive ability to my friends or my parents, and I feel very proud to help everyone who needed help. Most of my friends are usually agree to my opinions and I think they like me a lot. Sometimes we meet in the boba shop near to my house to chat and relax, and of course we play card games. I am always the person who is the most “excited”

We made a group calling together online. “I know I was wrong everyone, sorry about this. What can I do in this situation? I mean we could bring two more people to go but now is nine more people.” I felt nervous and embarrassed to ask them about this. Vallie said, “ I mean we could bring them also, it works from my view.”, she noticed me about the thing I didn’t mention, “ You could try to rent Uber for them, the price is not that expensive but not very cheap…… but you could try for this idea.” After I checked the map and did some searching on the internet, I decided to add Uber as the traffic we would use for the trip. But I was still having no idea how can I tell them and their parents about these important …show more content…
It was very successful, at least to me. Everything went pretty good that day so we were having a very good vacation on that day, and also I got a great experience in this event. We were making more connections by this trip, we got much closer than before, everyone did. We took a picture with all of us thirteen people in front of the gate of Great America, I think maybe no one is going to forget this event, especially

The Mill Valley High School Board members should reject the proposed idea of a later school day because it is beneficial to students with after school activities such as sports and jobs. The idea that a later school day is beneficial towards students is preposterous because students with after school activities and jobs would need to be out of school at an earlier hour. Take John Sherwood’s testimony for example. He complains, “But it’s going to make football practice a nightmare. We won’t be able to be dressed and on the field until 4:45, and in October, it starts getting dark by 5:30...…

First of all, the best part of school is getting time off for breaks, especially summer break. Summer break relieves so much stress that most students put upon themselves during the school year. Year-round schooling: enhanced student learning or costly, ineffective practice? The Traditional School Calendar Can Continue to Work in the Future Robin Lockett Carter contributed numerous research reports while a graduate student at the University of Alabama. Carter strongly believes that the year-round schooling system is not correlated to performance of students, because an individual’s academic achievement depends on him/herself and the environment. This article argues the setbacks of changing to a year-round system and how there is no consistent data to support the benefits it claims to bring.…

Being a high school student is composed of restless nights, and eight exhausting hours of classes in which you are obligated to stay awake in. A normal school day begins with me snoozing my alarm about ten times before my dad walks into my room telling me the dreaded “time to get up for school” reminder which I just take as a suggestion. Normally I will drag myself into the bathroom about ten minutes later to begin my routine. I spend about 40 minutes in the bathroom preparing myself for school and by the time I am done it is usually time to grab all of my things and barely catch the bus. Now this has to be my least favorite part of the day.…

High school. People say it’s either the best or worst four years of your life. Of course they never give you the details of what makes them the worst or best years. Which means, I, a terrified 8th grader convince myself that they will be the worst four years of my life. Honestly it is easy to guess that.…

Even before the sun peeks over the horizon to begin a new day, millions of high school students across the country are already climbing into their cars or waiting at their bus stops. The average start time for high schools in the United States is 7:59 a.m., which fails to meet the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommended start time of 8:30 a.m. (“Wake Up to Later Start Times”). Fairfax County Public Schools, the largest school district in Virginia and 10th largest in the nation, recently voted to start their high schools at 8 a.m. for the upcoming school year, 40 minutes later than their current start time of 7:20 a.m. (Shapiro). Fairfax and hundreds of other school districts are still far from allowing their students to obtain the full 9.5…

What I did not realize, was that summer classes move along much more swiftly than the regular semester. Additionally, I did not anticipate the amount of required reading and paper writing needed for each class. I had been out of school for nearly 25+ years, and I did not know how to use MS-Office correctly when writing a paper, thus I was off to a rough start. Therefore, if one is planning to return to school, meeting with an academic or advisement counselor is a good idea. I did not do this, I had done all of this online without ever meeting with someone who would advise me on how to the process works.…
