It is a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The sun is shining bright, the wind is gentle enough to cool everyone off, there is the smell of fresh lavender, and people are smiling. This is clearly a great day to get married. There are about 100 people waiting in excitement to celebrate the two individuals who are choosing to profess their love and commitment for everyone to see. About 100 people are anticipating the big moment. The moment where two becomes one. It is by definition, a miracle. Cambridge Dictionary says a miracle is a “unusual and mysterious event..” I truly believe that it is mysterious and unusual when two people deliberately commit their lives to each other, with the knowledge that things may change; they choose to say “for better or worse, and no matter what may happen in the time frame of forever. Until death do us part.” They made this promise to each other because they know that there is a great future with a possible family worth investing into. They …show more content…
Sometimes, you have to fight for your marriage. There are times of frustration and pride; it’s in these moments you have to fight. You have to push yourself to be just a little more selfless. You have to try really hard to see things from your spouse’s point of view. It is really hard to change habits, after doing them for so long. Yet, married people are constantly choosing to fight for their marriage. The truth is: there is power in numbers and people are better together. When you are married, there is a great relief in knowing you have someone by your side, forever. When trouble comes, you don’t have to handle it by yourself. It is always a good thing to have someone to speak encouragement and honesty to you, relentlessly. It is also a great feeling to have someone by your side during the best times of your life. I couldn’t imagine anyone but my husband by my side at my first football game. When I lose a dear friend, my husband is the person I imagine comforting
