She made me eggs and perfectly plumped pancakes smothered in rich and creamy syrup as a reward for winning the championship game. Just before basketball started, one of my goals was to make it to the championship game for a chance to win. Now that this goal is achieved, this affected my childhood by progressing my game in basketball, which improved my ball handling skills and shooting, with the exception of my shot percentage in the final game, which was ice cold. I told my mom, “I only had two points the whole game.” She said, “You’re still a winner in my eyes, no matter how good or bad you do.” Hearing that kindly toned voice that came out of her mouth, made me smile ear-to-ear. Knowing that my family would always be proud of what I do, and that the more I play basketball, the better I will get, basketball will always be my delighted
