When I was six, I loved to play basketball and go to church. I loved basketball so much that I played basketball for three hours every day in the morning, and my favorite thing on the weekends was church service. As a little kid I dreamed of becoming a basketball player and after retiring, becoming a pastor.
As I grew, basketball took over my life. Duke gave me a full ride to come play for them. I had to skip church to go to practice sometimes. One night after my first college game, where I recorded a triple-double, God spoke to me in a dream, he told me to go to a seminary to learn about doing God’s work. The dream troubled me, and I talked to some of my teammates about it. They all said to stay and play, so I did. Duke won two titles in a
