Narrative Analysis: We Left Iraq

We left Iraq, my family and I, in 2014 after the fight that was started between ISIL and the government forces in our city, Ramadi. I received a scholarship that time from Edith Cowan University to undergo a PhD degree, and therefore, I applied for a student visa for me and for my family, and the visa was granted on October 2014. We arrived in Australia - Perth on 17 / 11/ 2014.
The fight was enormous and the situation was very dangerous in Ramadi and we were threaten by ISIL that controlled the area that time and we were also threaten by Shia militia (also known as popular mobilisation forces – PMF) when we travelled to Baghdad to complete the visa application and to fly to Australia.     The idea of a narrative is to tell a story, the events occurring on the day of September 11, 2001 will provide an opportunity to relay my feelings, moving beyond the initial pure and basic anger at those responsible for such a desperate act.
