Narrative About Moving

Moving It was sometime in November, I can’t remember when because I was too caught up on the fact that I was going to be leaving my childhood behind. I would be Moving. I had lived in North Carolina for around 8 years. It was the best years of my life. I loved the beach, the pool, and all around I loved hanging out with my friends. I was really upset when my parents said we were moving to Connecticut. Honestly, I really didn't know what moving was like, until it actually happened. Here it was, the most dreaded day of my life. I put on my favorite romper, the jean one with the pearly white buttons. I got ready for the day and hopped on my bus. When I got to Mrs. Adcocks room {AKA my favorite teacher} I was surprised at what everyone had done for me. I had got tons of cards, gifts, and a zebra and pink outlined tablecloth with little notes from everyone. Although this was very kind, It made me a lot more sad. Since Mrs. Adcock was very close to me {This was the second year I had her for a teacher} she let me sit in her director's chair that only she can sit in, it made me so happy!
“Dakota, i’m so sorry to hear that you're moving but you will make lots of new friends, and if you ever come back to visit, come see me. Promise?”
“I promise”. I exclaimed.

As soon I finish my thanksgiving coloring sheet, I’m surprised to look up and see a gift from my teacher. It had been a picture of me and my friends and some candy inside, I was so appreciative to see how much she really cared about me. 12:10, It’s time to party! We had ice cream, chips, and just danced around until it was time to go. All I could think about is the clocking ticking, time after time. Tick, Tick, Tick, it’s 12:45 and time for me to take my last steps out of my School, Union Elementary. I feel as tough as a lion, but as shy and weak as a

Parting is such sweet sorrow. Over the past 17 years, I’ve found myself saying goodbye to a myriad of both people and places. However, there are certain places that are able to trigger an inundation of memories for me. One such place in my life has been Heather Hills Elementary School.…

I come from a typical family consisting of four of us; my mom, dad, sister and myself. Throughout my child hood my dad always worked and never struggled to put food in the table. Likewise I was never bullied in school or treated unfairly due to my ethnicity or religion. My point here is that I don't come from a world where I had to struggle due to something outside of my control but instead to overcome something. However that does not mean that I was never challenged or had to overcome an obstacle.…

Joining a militia was one of the top things I never thought I’d do, and becoming Special Forces in that militia never made the list. Just when I thought I’d finally fallen asleep. As I thought I had finally restored peace to the land a howling echo rang throughout the kingdom, and only then did I realize it was time to raise my aching body from its eternal slumber.…
