A Look at Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Romantic Relationships According to Butcher, Hooley, & Mineka (2014), Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder show an exaggerated sense of self-importance, preoccupied with being admired, and have a lack of empathy for the feelings others. There are subtypes of narcissism: grandiose and vulnerable narcissism. The ones that are most associated with aggression is grandiose narcissism. These individuals not only show aggression, but they also present themselves with grandiosity and dominance.
