However, I am not upset because of the fact that gay people can marry, or that transgender people can be recognized for changing their bodies to fit their mentality, but rather because of the way that people are responding to these changes. I am under no authority to judge people for who they love or who they are, and neither is any other person who walks this earth. It brings me great sorrow that people have the audacity to treat others with blatant disrespect and deliberately inflict pain on another human being because they are different. Narcissistic personality disorder is under review to be dropped from the new version of the psychological diagnostic manual because it is becoming so prevalent. …show more content…

In fact they have many things in common but they would not know that because of how judge mental people are. Heterosexuals or even people in general, will never understand that love is love and that love wins. As long as you are happy with who you are with and you are happy with who you are, then you should not worry about what people think. There are always going to be heterosexuals around that are going to speak their opinion, but that does not have to affect who you are as a person. Most people feel that since someone is gay they should feel some type of way. Wrong again just because that person is gay does not mean that they want anything to do with you. Gay people have standards as well as anybody else they are human. Yes, they make mistakes as well as anybody else but they are also punished as anybody else as well. Most times gays don’t receive the same treatment as others and this has been a problem for the longest.…

I am a strong believer in doing what the heart feels is real. So if someone falls in love with the person of the same sex I do not believe it is anyone’s place to judge or to determine who they can and cannot love. People are criticized not because of the fact that they are gay, but because of the fact that it is not what they are taught. The world is in black and white and gays see things of color and that’s why people are so against them. No one way is better than the other.…

That’s why there is no supreme race or gender We were all created equal according to the government, yet there isn’t equality in today’s world. It is corrupt and awful due to these feelings of anger and resentment. I’m not sure exactly what could be done to end discrimination because as long as there is a diversity of people, there will be discrimination. The only way I could see to end it would be to kill everyone except those who share one certain race, gender, religion, body type, age, and sexual orientation. It’s awful to say, but with the way the world is going, it may be the only thing that would end it.…

Some people think that homosexuals are horrible persons that don’t deserve to be treated with the same respect we treat heterosexuals. Truth is that we are all equals and sexual orientation does not matter when comparing the skills we all have as individuals. There are a lot of differences made in our society which includes sex, gender, race, ethnicity, and religion. Among these differences, sexual orientation is definitely an important point to be discussed knowing that same-sex marriage has been legalized nationwide. Even though we personally may think that same sex marriage doesn’t affect us directly, some people are against them.…

I thought this test was a lot different than the other ones; it made me feel like the researchers were almost setting us up to come out as biased against Gay people. Associating negative words with homosexuality is a way of skewing the results, in my opinion. I am proud of the results I got because I do not know very many gay or lesbian people and I never really grew up having any friends come out. I can count the number of gay people I personally know on one hand. I learned from this that if any of my friends do come out to me that I should ideally be very accepting and treat them the same as I treat my straight friends.…

When straight people find out the truth they feel deceived, not disgusted. It is better to be honest and perhaps people would become more accepting of transsexualism. People have harassed, insulted, abused, and hated gay people throughout history due to a prejudice toward them. In June 2015 the Supreme Court finally ruled in favor of same-sex marriage to encourage acceptance and provide everyone with equal rights (Diamond). This was a step in the right direction, but it has not changed everyone’s minds. Our society needs to learn from the natives to accept everyone for who they are and not be so quick to judge. Also, the Native Americans take the meaning of friendship differently than we do.…
