Right after Napoleon overthrows Snowball, he had his “dogs promptly tore [the traitors] throats out” after he has learn that the animals had disobeyed him (Orwell 84). In addition, Napoleon is preforming just like Joseph Stalin when they were leaders and had all the power. In the same way, both Napoleon and Joseph Stalin rule by fear and terror. Furthermore, Napoleon and Stalin eliminate anyone who might oppose them or try to overthrow them for the power. As Clover sees the pigs walking on their hind legs, she hurry to the wall to see that one of the commandments has changes and says “All animals are equal. But some animals are more equal then others” (Orwell 134). Right after the other animals can sees this; they can only imagine how much power the pigs can acquire. The reason being is that the commandments are like the Ten Commandments and cannot be change. Since the pigs’ change the commandments like it is nothing, they can only be seen as a great ruler or a god. Right after Snowball leaves, all of the pig’s starts to live in the house, “[where] there [are] lamp oil… and… sugar for Napoleon own table” (Orwell 114). Following the changings, the pigs’ live like kings, while the other animals live like slaves. To add on, the pigs are changing to be like human where they are selfish, only care about themselves, and also trade with other for money to buy items for them. The reason being is that the pigs only look after themselves and get the right amount of food for them. Immediately after the pigs learn how good barley smells; they put down a law saying that “all barley is reserved for…” the pigs (Orwell 115). After laying this law down it changes the way the other animals’ look up to the pig as selfish animals caring for themselves. In addition, it also changes the way the animals look at the pigs for taking of all their obsessions. “[Somehow] the pigs…acquired the money to buy themselves another case of whisky”, right after Boxer has die. The pigs are stingy for selling one of their hard working and motivating animals. Also, the pigs are only caring for themselves and not how the others would feel if they sold or kill another animal.
