Napoleon was a hero because he was in line with the goals of the French Revolution, with what the people wanted. He gave more power to the third estate, established a constitutional democracy, and gave hope to the lower class. Napoleon a democratic reformer gave liberty and equality to the 3rd estate who were fighting against Louis XVI and dictatorship.
