Nap Experiment

For the past two weeks I have done an experiment based on how many naps I take per day, verses how my energy level is on a scale of 1-5. Throughout these two weeks, doing the experiment has not been the easiest. I predicted that the more naps I take the higher my energy level would be. For the first week, my energy levels were at a high due to the fact that I was not in school because of spring break. But throughout the second week things started to go downhill because of my busy schedule. Within my experiment the time of day and my eating habits played a very important role, I say this because as a college student your day can be full of activities. For day 1, I only was able to take 1 nap throughout the day which resulted in my energy level being a 2. Day2 I took 3 …show more content…
On day4 I took 2 naps and had an energy level of a 4. Day5 had the same outcome but on day6 I was able to take 3 naps and have an energy level of 3. As you can see, my energy levels varied based on the number of naps I was able to take per day. On a day to day basis, I never was one to take a naps in general because I was always on the go. So to do this experiment I had to force myself to sleep so I could see the outcome and the difference on how my day would go. On day 7 things began to fall off track because coming back to school meant longer days and sleepless nights. With midterms out the way it was now time to work even harder and stay on track. With plenty of long days ahead of me I was not able to take as many naps throughout the day anymore. Going from obtaining a good amount of rest each day to barley getting any really started to affect my body in a tremendous way. It is said that when you eat better it gives you more energy. So recently I took a trip to the grocery store to buy more nutritious goods to help give my body additional energy.
