Nandy Perez: A Personal Story Of A Hero

ndy Perez works as a garbage truck driver in Miramar, Florida. People describe has having a warm smile and a friendly demeanor. However, Andy had no idea that he would ever be called a hero. When he working outside, he heard a child scream. He was then approached by a little boy who asked him if he knew how to perform CPR. A baby was drowning in the pool. Andy quickly ran into the house and found the one year-old baby. The infant was not breathing and did not have a pulse.

Andy started CPR without hesitation. He blew air into the baby's lungs and gave chest compressions. He also moved the baby's head to make sure that he did not choke on the water that was being expelled. Andy continued to perform CPR until emergency medical services arrived
