Some people enjoy writing while others find it dissatisfying. Kaneesha’s view of writing is very distinctive. She loves writing. She believes that this comes from her younger years of life. Her parents provided great help so she could succeed throughout school. They are one of her most important literacy sponsors. She has also had great teachers. Her teacher Mrs. Johnson had an extremely positive influence on her life. She was her cheerleading coach so it could be said that she could easily manipulate kaneesha. Mrs. Johnson taught Kaneesha all the basics. She taught her grammar skills, stylistic techniques, and originality. These skills play a major role in your writing. Her previous education was also a literacy sponsor. Throughout school she continues to develop better writing skills. One of her teachers taught her something that she is currently relearning in her English Composition class. It is the about the process of drafting. It is one of the most important components of the writing process. In her English class they discuss the writer Anne Lamott. Kaneesha must read “ Shitty First Drafts” so she will be able to excel on the reading quizzes she must complete in class. As Kaneesha reads “Shitty First Drafts” she realizes that the idea of being a perfect writing is basically impossible. She now knows that writing a bad draft is acceptable because it can lead to an excellent piece of writing. Kaneesha has previously learned by one of her old teachers.
