Nancy wake was a journalist in Paris when one day she saw Jews tied up by the Nazis whipping them she said to herself that she couldn’t even whip a cat so she decided that she would become a spy so she could help with the war. Nancy, who was born in Wellington on 13 August 1912, emigrated to Australia with her family when she was two.

Childhood & Early Life
She was born on August 30 1912 Wellington New Zealand as the youngest daughter of the six children. Her father was a journalist and editor. 1914 her and her family moved from New Zealand to Sydney, Australia.

In 1935 she visited Vienna and Berlin where violent formed in her a desire to oppose Nazism. In November 1939, she married Henri Flocci, a wealthy man, in Marseilles so then France. Six months later Germany invaded France. Nancy and henry her husband joined the Resistance after France's surrender in 1940. she started helping with the Resistance more Nancy and her husband helping in the escape of army men to help fight the germens. from France into Spain the train went picking up or dropping of all the way from France to Spain scared of being captured she fled southern France. after several attempts and a brief period in prison, Wake escaped In June 1943.she reached London where she began working for the French Special Operations.

Nancy soon learned her husband, Henri foci, had been touched by the Nazis for not giving them her were about. In 1944, Nancy wake left the Resistance and went to Paris, and then to London in October. After the war, she was unable to live a normal life again. she came back to Auzzie in January 1949 aged
